After the devastation of a hurricane, a home’s outdoor space can feel like a reminder of what was lost. At 16999 Cortile Drive, our mission was clear: to breathe new life into this backyard, transforming it into a serene, private getaway. The Vision & Objectives
The homeowners wanted more than just a backyard renovation; they wanted a retreat—an oasis where they could escape, entertain, and unwind. Our goal was to seamlessly blend function and beauty, incorporating a stunning new pool deck, a refreshed walkway, and a luxurious outdoor kitchen to create the perfect backyard experience.
Challenges & Expert Solutions
This project presented several challenges that required careful planning and precision. First, we needed to remove the hurricane roll-down screens and completely redo the electrical system. This was followed by the demolition of the existing arches, which were then reconstructed with squared columns at the header for a modernized look. Reinstalling the hurricane screens with proper framing and stucco work ensured durability while enhancing the overall aesthetic.
Additionally, as we began removing the existing pavers, we had to carefully extract the surrounding bushes to make way for the installation of the new travertine pavers. Every detail was meticulously handled to ensure the final result was both functional and visually stunning.
